On Democracy

South Africa is a vigorous multiparty democracy with an independent judiciary and a free and diverse press. South Africa's remarkable ability to put centuries of racial hatred behind it in favour of reconciliation was widely condered a social miracle, inspiring similar peace efforts in Northern Ireland, Rwanda and elsewhere around the world.

On Economy

The 2013/2014 Global Competitiveness Report, the World Economic Forum Ranked South Africa second in the world for the accountability of its private institutions, and third for its financial market development. South Africa's large domestic market and natural resource base make it a promising candidate for economic freedom-led growth.

On Education

A Graph constructed by an Advisory Firm The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) shows that South Africa spends more money than its peers on education, although the factors afflicting education in the country are serious and systemic, the experience of peer nations shows that significant improvement is possible, including in the near-term.
